Hyams Beach
is part of a tiny, seaside village. As of 2006, population in the region was only 70. Hyams Beach is located in New South Wales along the shores of Jervis Bay. The village can be reached in approximately three hours from the city of Sydney. Three magnificent beaches border the village: Chinaman’s Beach, Hyams Beach, and Seaman’s Beach.

All three beaches face east toward Jervis Bay and Point Perpendicular, which lie in the Pacific Ocean. The sand at Hyams Beach is snow-white, fine, and soft. Hyams beach holds the record for the whitest sand, according to the Guinness Book of Records. Jervis Bay National Park lies to the north of the beach. Booderee National Park and Botanic Gardens lie to the south of Hyams beach. These parks give Hyams beach a natural feel. There is an abundance of plant, animal and bird life.
Hyams beach is a secluded and isolated tourist spot. It is situated on Jervis Bay’s southern shores. The drive to Sydney lasts for two-and-a-half hours. Hyams beach has crystal clear waters, making it ideal for swimming, fishing, diving, and snorkeling. The bush land that surrounds the beach houses numerous animal and bird species. Manly Beach in Sydney

Manly beach is one of Sydney’s more beautiful beaches. Manly, along with Bondi, is an extremely popular beach in Sydney with travelers and locals alike. There are three sections in which the beach is divided into – from South to North, these are South Steyne, North Steyne and Queenscliff.

Fairy Bower, with the Sydney Harbor National Park locatd adjacent to it, is one of the most spectacular surfer’s points in Sydney. It is one of the very few surfing spots that have large waves in Sydney. The highlight is the long right hand waves that break over the reefs here.

Shelley Beach ( as well as the Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve that surrounds the beach ) is an extremely famous location for scuba diving. The beach here is popular with scuba divers. Shelley beach faces inland, and is the only beach of its kind in the entire east coast of Australia.

The name “Manly” may seem peculiar at first. The beach was named by Captain Arthur Phillip when he saw the indigenous inhabitants of the area. He was impressed by their confident carriage and manly behavior, and named it Manly Cove after the inhabitants.

As said before, Manly Beach is an incredibly popular island both with locals in Sydney and tourists from all over the world. Manly Beach’s popularity is so much that only the legendary Bondi Beach located to the south of the Sydney Harbor can give it competition with regards to popularity.

In life guards operate all year round in South Steyne, and from Oct to Apr at Queenscliff and North Steyne. In the period between Oct and May, there are volunteer life savers as well on patrol on public holidays and weekends.

Manly beach has also been a popular spot with photographers, artists and poets. Bruce Beaver is a celebrity poet that hangs out at the beach.
